Delta: The Last Stand

(I spent a lot of time on Photoshop doing this, so you better read this article. I think my pictures involving Delta are funny; yet original. Don’t you think?)

Part of my Delta story. Here are some other posts about Delta. 1) Delta: The Comeback Kid 2) Delta: A New Hope

Finally Delta gets some more backbone and is trying to fight the hostile take over that U.S. Airways proposed on November 15th. In an article written by Russell Grantham, Delta has teamed up with Boeing Co. to purchase 12 brand new jets to add to Deltas fleet. Delta has also sold some of their other jets to an airplane leasing company to increase some much needed cash flow.

Delta is finally getting some attention again and is finally seeing the light. Industry experts said the moves probably will reinforce the ties between Delta and Boeing just as the bankrupt carrier is trying to fend off a hostile takeover big by US Airways. I would think Boeing is helping Delta out of bankruptcy. What does this statement mean? Kaching if this actually happens. It would be pretty awesome if Delta comes out of bankruptcy and ends up paying back all its debt.

Like Ive said before, I believe in Delta. Hopefully, the rest of America will regain their trust back into the number one airline carrier of all time. With some time and planning Delta will get its steam back and start turning a good profit again.

I just bought 5000 share of DALR. My friends call me crazy because they say the stock will most likely lose its value. Am I really crazy?

I really don’t think so. I think Delta will be the comeback kid when it comes to airlines. Their stock is cheap and has risen over 110% since last year. I consider it a good buy, but prepare for a pretty rocky road. We will also get some news about what their stock will do when they get out of bankruptcy. It also depends when you purchased it, and whether or not they get bought out. *You will need to sell the stock before they get out of Chapter 11.*
